Client review
What stood out most was their ability to translate technical requirements into an elegant and user-friendly interface.
Why they hired us
We contracted Brilliant Systems to redesign the UX/UI of our SaaS system as a whole, which we used to serve enterprise-level customers in cloud-infrastructure technology. The main objectives addressed by us were to enhance the user navigation, streamline the complex workflows, increase cross platform consistency and make the interface intuitive to both, the non-technical and technical user. We also required a design system, which could scale, support the quick release of features, and additional growth.
Scope of work
The project entailed UX audit of the full scope, competitor analysis, interviewing of stakeholders, and user testing. After these discoveries, Brilliant Systems developed wireframes, user flows, a high-fidelity user interface (UI) mockup and a working prototype design. They also established a complete design system in Figma, along with UI elements, the guides on accessibility, and handover documentation to developers. They also collaborated with our own engineering team so that the designs on paper were ready to implement.
Measurable outcomes
The new interface also minimized user friction within the major workflows to a large extent. The tickets of our support department related to confusion during navigation and UI went down significantly, and the onboarding of new clients was faster. Use case scenarios in internal user testing showed a rise in the level of task performance completion, and higher overall user gratification. Also, the clarity and the new-fashioned appearance of the new design was mentioned in the customer feedback after launching.
Project management
Brilliant systems had organized Agile processes. They submitted all significant milestones in the expected timeframe, supported frequent check-ups and were very receptive to feedback. They also embraced midway course correction well and were very accommodating when we had to re-prioritize on the features. The project tracking tools used by them made everything transparent and smooth.
Most impressive
What stood out most was their ability to translate technical requirements into an elegant and user-friendly interface. Their team didn’t just design for aesthetics, they designed for functionality and long-term usability. Their collaborative approach made it feel like they were a true extension of our internal team.
Areas for improvement
Better yet, we would have enjoyed even more iterative-testing and slight design-changes after launch with real user data being received. But they were willing to expand the relationship by retainer which we are now discussing.
