Scope of work

This project involved setting up and configuring PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS, along with S3 storage for media and static files in a Django framework. We also created an ECS cluster on EC2 instances with autoscaling capabilities. To improve security and efficiency, we implemented individual application encryption, automated deployment processes, and data separation measures

Project management

We had bi-weekly meetings to stay on track and Brilliant Systems worked within Dynojet's existing project management software to manage releases, tickets, and communicate with various Dynojet employees throughout development.

Most impressive

I liked how accountable they were to deliverables and how they really drove development against our requests. If we made a request for development and owed them information, product information, or access to resources, they were relentless in holding us accountable to keep the project moving forward.
Other developers I've worked with would have relied on Dynojet to drive progress, they really drove hard to make sure we could hit our goals.

Areas for improvement

The only struggle is with scheduling of meetings, a lot of our staff works on Pacific Time, so scheduling a time for meetings that is advantageous can be hard but we've struck a good balance.
